A very dull life, it seems.

Well, life goes on, and often it goes on dully.   After all the happenings of the last few weeks, most things have returned to their routine normal.   Pehaps I should start a riot, a revolution or general civil-unrest to add sparkle to the humdrumivity of normality.

In fact, I shall do nothing of the suchwhich and simply plod on waiting on the whims of builders, plumbers, flooring-experts and similar artisans.   I don’t mind the upheaval, but I do mind the waiting for them to tell us when they’re going to turn up.   Sic transit gloria renovations.

Anyway, it’s been a good year for me  and my family if the Family Newsletter I just wrote is anything to go by.   Perhaps it’s that I am finding a niche labelled "curmudgeonly" since retirement struk.
