Sunday, 20th April, 2014.

Today, to ease the pressures on us, Rosie & I went for a drive and stroll along the very lovely Ystwyth Valley – the stretch between the bottom of Trefriw Hill and Pontrhydygroes.A perfect trip for Easter Sunday:  wildlife everywhere is coming back to life!

We’ve noticed that the greening-up of broadleaf woodlands has happened a couple of weeks earlier than last year.   Wild-flowers (Rosie knows ‘em all by their first names!) are really showing themselves.

Indeed, Mother Nature is doing us proud this Spring.   I even saw a coal-tit on our bird-feeder in our back garden this morning.   First one I’ve ever seen in these parts!

So let us remember that, whatever bad news one hears or experiences, the world is still a beautiful and uplifting place.

And here’s a flowering gean on our Village Green just opposite our home to drive that message home.
